The Hawaiian Limu Turf Scrubber Solution
We are developing freshwater limu solutions to demonstrate cost-effective, nature-based polishing of nutrient pollution from R-1 water by growing native Hawaiian freshwater stream macroalgae in a human-made streambed system called an algal turf scrubber (ATS).

Reef Power LLC provided significant leadership in progress toward realizing a Ma‘alaea Regional Wastewater Reclamation System through providing Administrative Project Management duties for the Ma‘alaea Village Association Wastewater Working Group for over 3.5 years, and as founding Executive Director of a new mutual benefit nonprofit organization created to build & operate MRWRS, Ma’alaea Wastewater Association.
